Thawte FAQ 5b - Documentation requirements for Ireland

If you are a registered company (Ltd/PLC) you will not need to send us any documentation for your company - it would be useful if you could let us know your company registration number. We will check this through the Companies Registration Office.

If you are not a registered company but you have a Registered Business Name then you will not need to send us any documentation - it would be useful if you could let us know the number for your registered business name. We will check this through the Companies Registration Office.

If you are a charity we will need a letter from the tax office confirming your charitable status (just tell them that you need it for a secure certificate and they should know what to send you). You can fax this to us.

If you are registered for VAT (and none of the circumstances above apply) then you can send us a copy of your VAT registration certificate. It needs to be the certificate and not the quarterly return as the return does not include all the information we need to verify. You can fax this to us.
